Sue with Dr Amina, a wonderful paediatrician, at the hospital for women and children. It’s a brand new hospital - I’ve asked them to please cover up the huge mirrors in the mixed use studio!
Greetings from Malaysia: Self-Portraits
We drew self portraits in one workshop and were pleasantly surprised at the result. A great technique with individuals and groups - no pressure, no expectations!
Malaysia: Talking about Milk
This is where I gave a talk yesterday to staff on the importance of nurture and the symbol of milk. Dr Aminah, a wonderful paediatrician, as usual co-hosted.

Greetings from Malaysia: Blue Peas
Tea made from ‘Blue Butterfly Peas’ is good for depression and brain energy! A natural supplement to our diet during the course.
Goodbye Summer... Hello Autumn
Make the most of our lovely autumn with outdoor play: scuffing the leaves, puddle jumping, collecting conkers, finding lots of different leaves, eating juicy blackberries, then colour pictures of red berries on holly bushes or Rowan trees or draw round a leaf and colour it in.
A Newly Imagined Midsummer
The recently built Bridge Theatre created a far too-short run for Nicholas Hytner's new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The theatre’s flexible staging allows for an ‘in the round’ production with groundlings standing near to the rising rostra to interact with the performance. The finale saw them dancing with the whole cast. I loved the energy of this production. Soon to be streamed.
Farewell Jennings
RIP Jennings. 1973-2019. Despite your traumas you always had a smile on your face. I'm sad to say goodbye to you today. One love to you and your Temiar brothers and sisters. A true Assam child.
Jennings was the first baby that I helped to deliver when doing my research in the Malaysian rainforest. He grew up having survived many childhood difficulties, into a friendly, bright and sunny person. He is sadly missed.
